Compositional Analysis of Lipids

Organised by SCI’s Lipids Group in Collaboration with Ghent University and Euro Fed Lipid Physical Properties Division

Thursday 20 - Friday 21 June 2013 Het Pand, Ghent, Belgium

This conference will cover the developments in the analysis and characterisation of the major components of lipids, oils and fats, such as fatty acids and triglycerides, and minor components such as sterols, and the advances in the tools used to generate and interpret whole lipid profiles e.g. lipidomics.

The recent developments in the detection of contaminants of oils and fats, such as 3-MCPD esters and Glycidyl esters, will also be presented. Internationally recognised experts will present information on the techniques used to analyse components that are of interest to the lipids, oils and fats industry, food manufacturers and producers and researchers in this field.

19th Ringtest 2013

Registration for the 19th Proficiency Test 2013 on Fat Analysis is now open!

The Ringtest is organised by the German Society for Fat Science (DGF) and Euro Fed Lipid.
100 laboratories from all continents take part regularly.

Up to 27 parameters can be tested.
Registration is due by 1 June 2013.
