Dear oils & fats community,
This year, from September 11 to 15, you have again the opportunity to meet us, the suppliers of plants and equipment for the oils and fats
industry to discuss about latest developments and tendencies in this industry.
This time you have even 5 days available, as oils+fats 2017
takes place again on the ground of “Messe Muenchen” in hall C1, parallel to drinktec, the world’s leading Trade Fair for the Beverage and
Liquid Food Industry integrating SIMEI as a new exhibition segment for wine technology. This gives you the opportunity to enlarge your
horizon and to meet even more exhibitors which might be of importance for your business.
We are sure you will find a lot of suggestions
and answers to your business matters and we are looking forward to meet you in Munich.

Bandy
Bandy is a team winter sport played on ice, in which skaters use sticks to direct a ball into the opposing team's goal.
Based on the number of participating athletes, bandy is the world's second most popular winter sport. Only ice hockey is more popular.

The sport has a common background with association football, ice hockey and field hockey.
Like football, the game is normally played in halves of 45 minutes each, there are eleven
players on each team, and the bandy field is about the same size as a football pitch. It is played on ice like ice hockey, but like field hockey, players use bowed sticks and a small ball.
Bandy, in Sweden is famous for its "culture" – both playing bandy and being a spectator requires great fortitude and dedication. A "bandy briefcase" is the classic
accessory for spectating – it is typically made of brown leather, well worn and contains a warm drink in a thermos and/or a bottle of liquor.
Bandy is most often played at outdoor arenas during winter time, so the need for spectators to carry flasks or thermoses of 'warming' liquid like glögg is a natural effect.

The final match for the Swedish Championship is played every year on the third Saturday of March. From 1991 to 2012, it was played at Studenternas Idrottsplats in Uppsala, often drawing
crowds in excess of 20,000. The reason for why the play-off match was set in Uppsala is because of IFK Uppsala and its success in the beginning of the 20th century. IFK Uppsala won 11 titles
in the Swedish Championships between 1907 and 1920, which made them the most successful bandy club in the entire country.

Organised by the German Society for Fat Science (DGF).
Interlaboratory comparison tests serve laboratories to check applied methods and to recognize systematic errors. They are a central part
of every quality assurance system.
The DGF herewith announces the 23th interlaboratory comparison test for fat analysis to be carried out in 2017.
32 parameters can be tested this year.
Matrix:
Vegetable Oil, Olive Oil and a Used Deep-Frying Oil. (150g each)
Parameters
Each laboratory may choose an individual set of parameters from the list above.
The execution and the evaluation of the laboratory comparison test are carried out according to the internationally
recognized recommendations "Proficiency Testing Of Laboratories" of Codex Alimentarius and ISO.
Participation Fee:
The participation 310 Euro + VAT
(a reduced fee of 260 Euro applies for DGF or Euro Fed Lipid-corporate members).
Information and Registration:

The international symposia on deep-fat frying organized through the DGF and Euro Fed Lipid had been held most of time in
Europe and North America. This is the first time it is held in China and will be organized jointly by the Euro Fed Lipid and the Chinese
Cereals and Oils Association (CCOA).
Registration is already open. Please find the lecture programme ans all further details
at
the congress webpage.
We also strongly encourage you to submit abstracts for further (poster) presentation and to consider one of the marketing/ sponsorship
offers in the framework of this congress.
